Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and grew up in the multiracial, mixed-ethnic family. The father of Jacqueline, Elroy Fernandez is a Sri Lankan. When she was in her teens, Padukone competed in badminton championships at national level. However, she left the game to become designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, Indian. Her native language Konkani is where she comes from. Her family tree is rooted in Padukone village located in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District in the state of Karnataka, India. Prakash Padukone is her father as well as a former badminton pro who has international acclaim. Her mother is an agent for travel.
